Film Location - More Information
Castle
Hill Farm has 120 acres of land and farm buildings with fantastic
views over the Welsh hills, the Cheshire plains, up towards
Liverpool and across to the Peak District.
The farm
derives its name from and Iron Age hill fort, Kelsborrow Castle.
Lying at 122 metres above sea level on a sandstone ridge running
along the western flank of Cheshire, the fort is now largely
buried. In 1810 an early palstave and a fragment of an iron
sword were apparently discovered here, bu these have long
since disappeared.
This prime
location is also situated next to the medieval Delamere Forest,
the only major woodland in Cheshire and remains a favoured
haunt of walkers and artists.
